Shown in this gallery are the fifteen pictures of flowers and (or) birds that Yasukuni included in volume three of Ehon Eibutsu Sen (i.e., Picture Book of Selected Subjects), published in 1779. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Yasukuni drew the shapes and surface details of flowers more accurately than birds but he colored both flowers and birds only in shades of gray which was standard practice for pictures published in books in Japan at that time.
